Woolroom

Content Writing

The Project

I learned about Woolroom a few years ago, when a publicist reached out to set up a digital meet-and-greet with the UK-based founder. I was immediately impressed by his knowledge and the company’s commitment to doing right by the animals, the farms and the people involved in turning this incredible fiber into the best bedding imaginable. I reached out in late 2024 to offer my writing services, right after all the big publishers I was writing for shuttered their freelance programs. Fortuitously, Olivia Groves, the company’s North American growth and marketing manager, was on the hunt for someone just like me. One phone call later, we made plans to hit the ground running in the new year.

The Process

Liv and I have a similar professional background, so we clicked immediately. She knew exactly why content writing is such a value add to a company, which made it easy to dive right in. She’s incredibly organized, something I always appreciate, and her detailed content spreadsheets and editorial briefs make my job easy. As a bonus, I really do enjoy learning more about this fabulous fiber!

“Jessica is an extension of the Woolroom team. She understands our brand, products and positioning in the North American bedding market. Since bringing Jessica onto the team for copywriting, she has tripled our monthly content outputs,” says Liv. “She continues to exceed expectations when it comes to the quality and timeliness of her deliverables. Not only that, but she brings new ideas and recommendations for staying up to speed with industry best practices. In that sense, she brings immeasurable value to our content team in North America. On a personal note, I genuinely enjoy working with JT. She's a joy—kind, direct, professional... You need her working for your team!”
